Hue on Arrival
Welcome to Hue City. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the city centre of Hue. Check-in your hotel, and take a rest until 6:00 pm for a welcoming dinner at one of the well-known restaurants in town.
Discover Hue
Hue was the feudalism society, the culture, and the historic centre of Vietnam with many French Colonial landmarks. It holds Vietnam's Royal past treasures included; old temples, ancient pagodas, oriental mausoleums, and the Purple Citadel.
Start the city tour at 8:00 am, and first visit the Forbidden Purple Citadel, where only the emperor and his eunuchs, servants, and concubines were allowed. Then you take a dragon cruise trip upstream or downstream of the river. The cruise will stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, Ho Chem Temple, and you will get off the boat and travel by car, visit some workshops run by families making conical hats, incense sticks, and other unique handicrafts.
Next, visit the colourful tomb of Khai Dinh. It took 11 years to complete the burial with a beautiful mixture of western and eastern architecture styles. Finally, you will explore one of the most beautiful Traditional Royal tombs before you return to Hue city by car.
Hue – DMZ, Quang Tri – Phong Nha
Commence today's tour early at 7:30 am with the authentic drive to historic Hien Luong Bridge- a bridge cross over Ben Hai River located in 17 parallel during Vietnam War. The famous Ben Hai River was the boundary of North Vietnam and South Vietnam from 1954 until the war ended.
Arrive at Hien Luong Bridge around 10:00 am, take a walk on the memorable bridge with a well-informed guide, and learn more about the Vietnam War in DMZ, Quang Tri. Stop and spend more time at Hien Luong Museum. Then the further drive takes us to Vinh Moc tunnels. Locals build the tunnels to hide from the intense bombing in Gio Linh, Quang Tri Province in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, and it was also used as the military headquarters with meeting room. Built in 1966 and used until early 1972.
The tunnels consist of kitchens, food storage, healthcare rooms, and bomb shelter. Around sixty families lived in the tunnels; as many as 17 children were born inside the tunnels. Lunch en route before the last 3.5 hours drives on Highway 1A to Phong Nha.
Discover Phong Nha
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Paradise Cave is one of the most beautiful Caves in Phong Nha. However, it's an incredible home to the 360-million-years-old rock formations, the 31km long, the longest and the most beautiful in Asia, the central province of Quang Binh. The countryside and surroundings in Phong Nha are fantastic.
The small town and it's surroundings have some colonist buildings ring by limestone mountain ranges, lush foothill farms, rice paddies, rivers, and tiny villages make it more rustic and spectacular. We have a full-day guided tour to explore the most beautiful Caves of Paradise with 3 hours to discover so many places inside. Next is the Dark cave with combined adventures; zipline to Dark cave, enjoy mud bathing, swimming, and kayaking. Finally, we return to Phong Nha town on Ho Chi Minh road, through mountain ranges, valleys, and tropical rainforests. Dine with the team and stay one more night in the town.
